Scan to editable Word
Scanned PDF or photo to an editable Word file that keeps the layout.
Upload a scan, a photo of a page or a screenshot. Get a .docx with the same columns, tables, headings and page breaks, with real text you can edit, not a picture of text. Works with Cyrillic and Greek as well as Latin script.

What a decode looks like
Synthetic example. Every note points at the exact line it is about.
- SUPPLY AGREEMENT No. 118/2026 (two-column layout)
- 1. Subject. The supplier delivers the goods listed in Annex 1.
- 2. Price. Table: item · quantity · unit price · total
- 3. Delivery within 14 days of the order date.
- Signature blocks: Supplier | Buyer
Why this is hard
Scans are pictures of text
You can't change a word in a scanned contract or form without retyping the page.
Converters break the layout
Two columns become one, tables turn into loose lines and headings lose their place, so you fix formatting for longer than the edit takes.
Non-Latin scripts get mangled
Cyrillic and Greek letters that look like Latin ones are often swapped, which breaks search, spell-check and translation later.
What you get
- A .docx with the original's columns, tables, headings, lists and page breaks
- Real, searchable text in Latin, Cyrillic or Greek script
- Pages that don't match the original closely are flagged for you to check
- Files deleted within 24 hours unless you choose to save them
What it is not
A best-effort conversion, checked page by page against the original. Unusual fonts are replaced with close open alternatives, and handwriting or very poor scans may need manual fixes.

Questions
Will it look exactly like the original?
As close as we can make it: layout, tables and headings are rebuilt and each page is compared with the original. Fonts the document doesn't allow us to embed are replaced with close open alternatives, and we flag any page that doesn't match closely.
Why not just ask ChatGPT?
A chatbot can read the text out of a scan, but it gives you text, not a Word file with the same columns and tables. What we're testing is a converter built for layout: real .docx output, page-by-page comparison with the original, and files deleted within 24 hours unless you save them.
Which files work?
PDFs (scanned or digital), JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 10 MB. Digital PDFs with real text would cost less than scans.
